Environment
● 85% of the 26 wafer-based raw material suppliers passed ISO 14001.
● 100% of the 64 raw material suppliers signed the "Supplier Hazardous Substances Using Status".
● In 2023, the proportion of local procurement spending exceeded 85%.
● The total weight of waste removed in 2023 was 627.8 metric tons, and recycling rate of the waste was 51.5%.
● Inventory of Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions in 2023 was 23,422.406 tons, a decrease of approximately 9.94% compared with 2022.
● Annually we verify GHG emissions and energy use according to ISO14064-1 as a verification of the effectiveness of reduction.
● We implement energy conservation and carbon reduction projects, resulting in electricity savings of about 745,000 kWh in 2023, equivalent to a reduction of 368.7 metric tons of CO2e GHG emissions in Scope 2.
● In 2023, Ren'ai Plant implemented the pre-treatment efficiency improvement of its pure water system.
● In 2023, the solar power system generated 296,171 kWh of electricity, which was wholesaled to Taipower, adding approximately NT$1.558 million to the Company's income.
Social
● 100% of raw materials suppliers do not use conflict minerals.
● 96% of the 26 wafer-based raw material suppliers signed the "Labor Human Rights Declaration".
● We pass ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification every year and conduct routine internal and external audits.
● We passed ISO 45001 Occupational Safety and Health Management System, and 100% of new employees completed occupational safety and health education and training.
● We arranged for 97 employees to pass specific professional skills certifications to enhance their competencies in 2023.
● We organized 4 online seminars on industry-government-academia collaboration in talent development in 2023, with about 205 participants.
● Through public welfare actions, we donated to social welfare organizations and communities with a total of NTD 930,000.
● We cooperated with Hsinchu Blood Center to call for 66 people to donate 16,500 ml of blood for charity.
● Through donations, we support early intervention professionals to provide in-home or community-based early intervention services to help disadvantaged families access essential resources.
● We provide resident healthcare consultation and organize maternal health protection programs.
Governance
● 96% of the 26 wafer-based raw material suppliers signed the "Ethics & Confidentiality Undertaking".
● 100% sign-off rate of the "Affidavit for Employee Code of Business Conduct and Declaration of Interests" by new employees
● R&D investment in 2023 was approximately $148 million, accounting for 6.5% of revenue.
● In 2023, 6 board meetings were held, with 100% attendance of directors.
● The total number of hours spent in continuing education by the Board of Directors in 2023 was 66 hours, with an average of 7.3 hours per person.
● In 2023, a total of 22 education and training courses related to compliance with laws and regulations were held, with a total of 2,054 hours.
● In 2023, 16 integrity-related training courses were organized for managerial officers and employees, with a total of 954 persons completing the courses.
● 100% of employees, 100% of managerial officers, and 88.89% of suppliers received anti-corruption policy communication in 2023.
● We executed information security training, participated in Science Park and vendors’ information personnel online courses, with a total of 815 hours of training.
● We pass QC 080000 Non-Hazardous Material Management System certification annually to confirm product compliance with regulations and customer needs.
