Environment
● 100% of the 16 wafer-based raw material suppliers passed ISO 14001.
● 100% of the 38 raw material suppliers signed the "Supplier Hazardous Substances Using Status".
● In 2022, the proportion of local procurement spending exceeded 88%, up approximately 7.07% over the previous year.
● The total weight of waste removed in 2022 was 566.6 metric tons, and recycling rate of the waste was 55.1%.
● Electricity consumption was reduced by 4.818 million kWh in 2022 compared to 2021, with an annual energy savings of 13.2%.
● Inventory of Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions in 2022 was 26,006 tons, compared with 29,549 tons in 2021, down about 11.9%.
● Annually we verify GHG emissions and energy use according to ISO14064-1 as a verification of the effectiveness of reduction.
● We implement energy conservation and carbon reduction projects, resulting in electricity savings of about 755,000 kWh in 2022, equivalent to a reduction of 384.2 metric tons of CO2e GHG emissions in Scope 2.
● We recovered 9.1 million liters of water from the MAU condensate recovery system in 2022.
● In 2022, the solar power system generated 286,792.0 kWh of electricity, which was wholesaled to Taipower, adding approximately NT$1.58 million to the Company's income.
Social
● 100% of raw materials suppliers do not use conflict minerals.
● 100% of the 16 wafer-based raw material suppliers signed the "Labor Human Rights Declaration".
● We pass ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification every year and conduct routine internal and external audits.
● We passed ISO 45001 Occupational Safety and Health Management System, and 100% of new employees completed occupational safety and health education and training.
● We arranged for 85 employees to pass specific professional skills certifications to enhance their competencies in 2022.
● We organized 3 online seminars on industry-government-academia collaboration in talent development in 2022, with about 170 participants.
● We organized the "Enterprise Workplace Experience Activity" with the Miaoli County Veterans Service Office to assist in employment matchmaking, with about 30 participants.
● We care for the resource needs of the remote villages and donated a welcab worth of $1,080,000.
● We worked with "Hsinchu Blood Center" to collect 74 bags of blood for charity.
● We encouraged employees to get vaccinated and offered employee vaccine incentives, with 133 applicants and a total of NT$26,900 in incentive payments.
● We provide resident healthcare consultation and organize maternal health protection programs.
Governance
● 94% of the 16 wafer-based raw material suppliers signed the "Ethics & Confidentiality Undertaking".
● 100% sign-off rate of the "Affidavit for Employee Code of Business Conduct and Declaration of Interests" by new employees.
● R&D investment in 2022 was approximately $140 million, accounting for 5.85% of revenue.
● We continue to develop GaN material series power components, expected to save 540 MWh of power and reduce 38.6 tons of CO2 emissions in 2023.
● Four new product patents were granted in 2022.
● In 2022, 6 board meetings were held, with 100% attendance of directors.
● The total number of hours spent in continuing education by the Board of Directors in 2022 was 50 hours, with an average of 7 hours per person.
● In 2022, a total of 13 education and training courses related to compliance with laws and regulations were held, with a total of 645.5 hours.
● In 2022, 20 integrity-related training courses were organized for managerial officers and employees, with a total of 727 persons completing the courses and a total of 755 hours of training.
● 96.75% of employees, 71.43% of managerial officers, and 77.78% of suppliers received anti-corruption policy communication in 2022.
● We executed information security training, participated in Science Park and vendors’ information personnel online courses, with a total of 21 lessons, a total of 26 hours of training.
● We pass QC 080000 Non-Hazardous Material Management System certification annually to confirm product compliance with regulations and customer needs.
